We invite you to BSN2009 in Edinburgh, UK from the 28th to the 30th June. We have an exciting scientific programme lined up, representative of UK neuroendocrine research, and several opportunities for oral and poster communications of your research. This meeting will be a good opportunity to promote your research, encourage young researchers in the field and enjoy the Edinburgh social scene.

The meeting will comprise:

  • BSN Annual Plenary Lecture - Julian Davis
  • Mortyn Jones Memorial Lecture - David Grattan

Symposia on

  • Obesity and Metabolism
  • Reproduction and Stress
  • Cellular Neuroendocrinology

The BSN is keen to provide extensive opportunities to facilitate our 'early career' colleagues and so have included opportunities for oral presentations both within the symposia and in an oral communications session, as well as prolonged poster sessions. Additionally there will be the Michael Harbuz Prize for Young Investigators, which we encourage people to apply for.

Edinburgh Neuroendocrinology have also organised a special symposium in honour of Professor John Russell, who was BSN Chairman earlier this decade and has been a frequent and enthusiastic contributor to the BSN. This Festschrift will be held the day immediately after the BSN meeting finishes on the 1st July 2009. If you would like more information about attending the Festschrift, please email Mike Ludwig ( ). The Festschrift programme is available for download as a PDF file.
